A line delineating the top of the bluff. More than one bluffline may be encountered proceeding <br /> 9 landward from the river. See Figures 1 and 2. <br /> 10 Bluff line means: <br /> 11 (1) A line along the top of a slope connecting the points at which the slope of land becomes more <br /> 12 than 12 percent. This applies to those slopes within the land use district which are beyond the <br /> 13 setback provisions from the ordinary high water level; or <br /> 14 (2) The line which generally follows the river bank where the slope changes from steep (more <br /> 15 than 12 percent)to less than 12 percent). <br /> 16 Bluff, toe of. A line along the bottom of a bluff, requiring field verification, such that the slope above the <br /> 17 line exceeds 18 percent and the slope below the line is 18 percent or less, measured over a <br /> 18 horizontal distance of 25 feet. See Figures 1 and 2. <br /> 19 Bluff, top of. A line along the top of a bluff, requiring field verification, such that the slope below the line <br /> 20 exceeds 18 percent and the slope above the line is 18 percent or less, measured over a horizontal <br /> 21 distance of 25 feet.
