1 <br /> 2 326 Outdoor Dining Areas/Patios <br /> 3 Outdoor dining areas and patios accessory to restaurants/brew pubs, brewery taprooms, and distillery <br /> 4 cocktail rooms have the following standards: <br /> 5 (A) The seating must be located on the same parcel as the principal use. <br /> 6 (B) The outdoor seating area shall be defined with the use of landscaping,temporary fencing, or other <br /> 7 means that contains the tables and chairs for the use. <br /> 8 (C) Patrons shall access the outdoor seating area through the main entrance or host station. <br /> 9 (D) All exterior sound equipment shall be shut off at 10:00 p.m. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 330 Alternative Energy Systems <br /> 12 Put-pose and intent. The purpose and intent of this section is to establish standards and procedures by <br /> 13 which the installation and operation of alternative energy systems shall be governed within the city.The <br /> 14 city finds that it is in the public interest to encourage alternative energy systems that have a positive <br /> 15 impact on energy production and conservation while not having an adverse impact on the community. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 331 Wind energy conversion systems (WECS). <br /> 18 The following standards are intended to facilitate the provisions for WECS to the residents and businesses <br /> 19 of the city; minimize adverse visual effects of wind towers, turbines, and generators through careful <br /> 20 design and site selection standards; and avoid potential damage to adjacent properties from tower failure <br /> 21 through structural standards and setback requirements. <br /> 22 (A) Location. No part of the WECS, equipment, guyed wires, blades, or braces shall <br /> 28 at any time extend across or over any part of the public right-of-way, public street, highway, <br /> 29 sidewalk, or recreation trail. <br /> 30 (2) Setback.All small scale WECS and medium scale WECS units shall maintain a minimum setback <br /> 31 of 1.5 times the height of the tower. In addition, WECS units in any residential district must <br /> 32 maintain a minimum setback of 11,000 feet from any principal dwelling unit on adjacent <br /> 33 parcels. Setbacks shall be measured from the center of the WECS tower to the nearest <br /> 34 property line. <br /> 35 (3) Height.
