Trees used for mitigation may also fulfill the Open Areas Landscape Standards at <br /> the discretion of the City. <br /> 3. Trees with 30 percent of the roots damaged are considered to be removed and <br /> must be mitigated for at the applicable rates. <br /> 4. Undesirable trees are not subject to the Tree Preservation and Mitigation <br /> Standards. <br /> 5. Areas where trees are being removed for ecological restoration in accordance with <br /> a City approved restoration plan are not subject to the Tree Preservation and Mitigation. <br /> 6. At the City's discretion, the City may accept the fee for planting trees <br /> within the general area of the development project. The City shall maintain a standard fee per <br /> tree based on the estimated market rate cost to purchase and install trees. <br /> (k) Landscaping Guidelines and Technical Specifications. The selection, installation, <br /> and maintenance of all planting materials shall be in compliance with the City's Landscaping <br /> Guidelines and Technical Specifications Manual. <br /> (1) Tree Survey. <br /> 1.
