<br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #24-027 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR A CLINICAL RESEARCH & <br />TREATMENT FACILITY FOR IDTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, annually reviews its legislative priorities and provides <br />direction to Staff to implement these priorities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, IDTS Medical, Inc. (IDTS) has completed the first phase buildout for its <br />company and relocated to the second floor of the VA Building at 7545 Veterans Drive NW; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, IDTS has been innovating solutions for the Respiratory Industry and has had <br />an ongoing Clinical Trial Agreement with Mayo Clinic Rochester and MediTuner (Swedish <br />Corporation) since February 2022 in home spirometry and data collection from Asthma patients <br />for predicting respiratory morbidity. IDTS has also signed a Clinical Research Agreement with the <br />University of Colorado and o2matics (Danish Corporation) for automation in o2 titration and <br />saturation. MediTuner has opened its US based operations in the IDTS Medical Center and <br />o2matics is in the process of following suit. The Clinical Research and Treatment Facility will be <br />the home for these and many more national & international companies: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, IDTS is a facility where everyone has access to leading edge medical <br />treatment for respiratory disorders, regardless of their ability to pay while supporting the <br />advancement of research and innovation in respiratory care; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, supporting this program will allow Ramsey to be part of a leadership <br />community in healthcare, pave the way to provide billable world class healthcare solutions for <br />patients with respiratory diseases and supply the setting to relocate international companies to the <br />United States. This facility is open to the public servicing Greater Minnesota Hospitals & Clinics, <br />V.A. patients in a 30-mile radius, assisted living communities, partnerships with community sports <br />programs and the underserved community while driving revenue to local businesses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the vision for IDTS is to create a world class Research & Treatment Hospital <br />for respiratory care in the Ramsey Core located next to the VA building on Veterans Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, IDTS has requested that the City of Ramsey to provide a resolution of support <br />of the proposed clinical research and treatment facility project to assist with obtaining funding <br />from the State of Minnesota or other viable sources; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, IDTS Medical, Inc. is Active / in Good Standing with office of the Minnesota <br />Secretary of State as of 1/10/2024. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
