<br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #24-044 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR 2024 CRACK SEAL IMPROVEMENTS, <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-08 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey can most cost-effectively maximize the life of the <br />bituminous pavement on public streets by sealing cracks on an annual basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted budget for 2024 includes $575,000.00 for street <br />maintenance contracted services, including to crack seal the bituminous pavement on numerous <br />public street segments in support of the City’s Pavement Management Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-012 adopted January 9, <br />2024, the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for 2024 <br />Crack Seal Improvements, Improvement Project #24-08; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the purpose of <br />advertising for bids for 2024 Crack Seal Improvements, Improvement Project #24-08. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) The Ramsey City Council hereby approves the plans and specifications prepared by the <br />City Engineer and authorizes advertisement for bids for said improvements as City <br />Improvement Project #24-08, 2024 Crack Seal Improvements. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Woestehoff, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
