Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br /> RESOLUTION #24-052
<br /> RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL
<br /> NOMINATION PRIMARY ELECTION ON MARCH 5, 2024
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Presidential Nomination Primary
<br /> Election on Tuesday, March 5, 2024; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for
<br /> precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $12.00 for election judge trainees, $12.00 for
<br /> regular election judges and $14.00 for head judges; and
<br /> WHEREAS,when necessary, regular City staff working as judges on election day will be
<br /> paid their normal hourly wage.
<br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
<br /> 1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Presidential
<br /> Nomination Primary Election to be held on March 5, 2025:
<br /> Beth Asfahl, Mark Barrett, Jerilyn Bates, Billie Jo Bishop, PaulaJean Chicoine, Roger
<br /> Clem, Sandra Conlon, Sabrina Cooper, Sarah Cooper, Katherine Dague, Patricia
<br /> Dusbabek, Tim Dusbabek, Elizabeth Edwards, Kevin Efram, Todd Embury, Marivic
<br /> Enquist, Susan Fox, John Freeburg, Colleen Graber, Timothy Graber, Brian Heichel,
<br /> Brian Heigl, Andy Hillebregt, Peggy Howe, Del Howe III, Tom Hoxter, Louise Kvich,
<br /> James Lahr, Jennifer Leistico, Sheila Lemke, Cyndi Lemmon, Jean Max, David May,
<br /> Ernest Mejia, Makayla Miller, Nancy Nelson, Cindy Olson, Alfred Resler, Alicia
<br /> Reynolds-Minear, Kathryn Richter, Stephen Rothsteiun, Derek Scheuermann, Sharon

<br /> 2) That Council authorize staff to train and hire additional election judges not named here
<br /> should the need arise.
<br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
<br /> Woestehoff, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
