City Engineer Jankowski gave a brief description of the original grading plan, but noted that <br />Orrin Thompson Homes will need permission from all of the property owners to re-grade their <br />yards. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen advised the property owners to grant the access to Orrin Thompson <br />Homes in order for the problem to be corrected. <br /> <br />Wanda Tanksi, 15781 Lithium Street NW, Ramsey, stated that she paid for a retaining wall to be <br />installed as directed by Orrin Thompson Homes and if the property is brought back to its original <br />grade the retaining wall will no longer be necessary. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler explained that the property will be brought back to what was <br />originally approved by the City and any costs that the property owners have incurred should be <br />covered by Orrin Thompson Homes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that Orrin Thompson Homes needs to come to an agreement <br />with the other affected property owners and bring the agreement back to the City before the City <br />begins to issue building permits. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly suggested holding funds to verify the project is completed correctly. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler replied that holding of funds was included in the agreement. <br /> <br />Kristine Booth, 15791 Lithium Street, NW, Ramsey, inquired as to how the residents will know <br />what the original grade is suppose to be. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen replied that there is a plan filed with the City that they could review. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that he would be willing to draw out the original contours or <br />mark their yards. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen stated that he thinks the situation needs to be resolved and that the <br />agreements with the other affected property owners should be signed by each owner and include <br />covering all costs that were incurred by the property owner. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly suggested notifying On:in Thompson Homes that the agreement is <br />acceptable, but they also need to get signed agreements from all other affected property owners. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler replied that Orrin Thompson Homes is already required to do <br />SO. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen stated that the City Attorney needs to inform Orrin Thompson <br />Homes that there are still agreements that need to be made. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/December 21, 1999 <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
