Case #3: Request or an Interim Use Permit to Allow for Outdoor Storage on an Unimproved Surface in the R-1 Residential District; Case of RV World, Inc. Community Development Director Trudgeon explained RV World, Inc. has submitted an application for an Interim Use Permit to allow for outdoor storage of surplus Recreational Vehicles (RVs) and travel trailers on an unimproved surface on the property located at 14453 Llama Street NW. In March 2006, the City was alerted to the fact that RVs and travel trailers were being stored on an unimproved surface on a parcel south of Riverdale Drive. After an initial inspection, staff contacted RV World, Inc. to inform them that the RVs and travel trailers being stored were in violation of City Code. However, this is the third attempt at a temporary f~'w~.~fl{~i ;hny'k~ent plans for needed improvements or expansion of RV World's existing site. Community Developmefit Director Trudgeon advised the Planning Commission held a public hearing and reviewed the request at their May 4, 2006 meeting. The Planning Commission recommended approving an interim use permit until September 30, 2007. Based on the aforementioned concerns, staff is of the opinion that the request should be denied.
