INTRODUCE AMENDMENT OF ORDINANCE #05-29 ESTABLISHING <br />PERMIT FEES, SERVICE CHARGES, AND VARIOUS OTHER FEES TO BE <br />COLLECTED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey's 2006 schedule of rates, fees and charges was adopted by City <br />Council on November 7, 2005 per Ordinance #05-29. The 2006 schedule needs to be <br />amended as such: <br /> <br /> 1. In the determination of The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources <br />yearly water appropriation fee, the DNR has enacted a Summer surcharge on the City for <br />excessive water usage in the City in the months of June, July and August. As a measure <br />to increase conservation consumption in the City during these peak periods, the City is <br />proposing the following water usage table: <br /> <br />1.78 <br />mte <br />base <br /> 1% <br /> 3% <br /> 4% <br /> 5% <br /> 10% <br /> <br />$1.78 per 1,000 for 1st 15,000 gallons <br />$1.80 per 1,000 for 15,001-25,000 <br />$1.84 per 1,000 for 25,001-50,000 <br />$1.86 per 1,000 for 50,001-100,000 <br />$1.87 per 1,000 for 100,001-200,000 <br />$1.96 per 1,000 for 200,001 and above <br /> <br /> The current rate is $1.78 per 1,000 gallons with a minimum quarterly charge Of <br />$26.70. <br /> <br />2. Field fees when used by youth teams <br /> Soccer field rental per week: <br /> Full size $32.00 <br /> ½ size $16.00 <br /> ¼ size 8.00 <br /> <br />Football field rental per week <br /> Full size $40.00 <br /> <br />Softball/Baseball Field Rental <br /> Per Game $8.00 <br /> <br />3.
