FC#2 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION OF THE COLLECTION OF DATA ON POSSIBLE ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS <br /> By: Diana Lurid, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As the City is growing, multiple economic development oppommities are presented <br />almost dally. The City is faced with what is the best plan to choose and how other cities <br />dealt with these same issues. <br /> <br />Staff would like the oppommity to approach these other cities and learn their techniques <br />and troubles that they have experienced in bringing economic development into their <br />cities. Examples of such would be: did staff do all of the leg work, did you hire <br />consultants, and if so, who would you recommend and how much do they charge, etc. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Authorization of staff to proceed with the acquisition of necessary data to help in <br />determining possible future economic development projects. <br /> <br />-349- <br /> <br /> <br />
