of the 30 day comment period, or adopt a resolution to reallocate the funds at the termination of <br />the 30 day comment period. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec questioned if other organizations could request the funds. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman replied that Staff has not opened it up to other <br />organizations because the funds are being reallocated. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly stated that she did not want to commit to any project at this time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the funds would reduce the cost of the project for <br />ACCAP. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman replied that it has not been determined how the <br />funds would be used. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen questioned if the intention would be to reduce the cost of the project <br />for ACCAP by $63,000 or reduce the cost the City has in the project. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman replied that the funds would be given to ACCAP to <br />use as they see fit. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman questioned if there would be anything committing ACCAP to using <br />the fi~nds in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman replied yes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired if they could make it a stipulation as part of the agreement <br />that they have to use the funds in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman replied yes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that the City is spending a great deal more money acquiring <br />land for the site and then ACCAP would be receiving funds to reduce their costs. He requested <br />that Staff review the possibility of using the funds to lessen the cost to the City for land <br />acquisition. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly stated that she would like to explore other options. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman suggested that Council table the item to allow Staff <br />to review the rules as to what the money can be used for. <br /> <br />City Council/September 28, 1999 <br /> Page 14 of 30 <br /> <br /> <br />
