Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Request for Four-Way Stop at C.R. #116 and Dysprosium Street <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt <br />Resolution #99-09-186 petitioning Anoka County for the installation of a four-way stop at C.R. <br />#116 and Dysprosium Street. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmennan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen questioned how long the process will take. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that they should be able to act within one month. <br /> <br />5) Increase the Public Works Committee to Three members <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler stated that during the last Public Works meeting it was <br />requested that the Committee be increased to a three person committee. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that the issue had been discussed previously and thought there were some <br />legal concerns over increasing the size of the Committee. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that a decision made by a three person committee still needs to be <br />approved by the Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that all a committee does is make a recommendation and <br />noted that there are five people present at the finance committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to change the <br />Public Works Committee to include three members, Councilmembers Connolly,.Hendriksen, and <br />Zimmerman, with no alternate. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Zimmerman, Connolly, and Hendriksen. Voting <br />No: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmember Anderson. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he opposed to the change because he felt it would put the City in a bad <br />situation. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that she was concerned over the implications of the open <br />meeting law. <br /> <br />City Council/September 28, 1999 <br /> Page 24 of 30 <br /> <br /> <br />
