4) End Probationary Period Extension of Finance Clerk Joan Smith <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to approve <br />Resolution #99-10-197 ending the probationary period for employee Joan Smith and granting her <br />the status of regular, part-time Finance Clerk, effective on Joan's one-year anniversary of <br />September 21, 1999. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) Receive Hiring Recommendation for Public Works Maintenance Worker Position <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to authorize <br />Staff to offer a conditional hire to Mark Giese as the Public Works Maintenance Worker, <br />contingent upon successful completion of background investigations of driving record and <br />criminal history, reference checks, and a physical examination, at an annual salary of $24,071. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hendriksen, <br />Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />Authorization for Consultant Services for Organization and Recruitment Services <br />for the Community Development Department Vacancies <br /> <br />Item was tabled. <br /> <br />7) Authorization to Fill Vacancy in Administrative Services Manager Position <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to authorize <br />Staff to proceed with the process of placing a general ad to fill the vacant positions. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
