12) Resolution Establishing Carnival Fees <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to adopt <br />Resolution #99-10-198 Establishing Carnival License Fees. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />13) Development of Hiring Procedures <br /> <br />Staff was given direction. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Stop Lights on T.H. #47 <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if any information was received on the availability of a stop <br />light being installed on T.H. #47. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler explained that he received a rough estimate of $45,000 to install <br />the lights, but the lights would then be owned by the City. <br /> <br />2) Yard of Weeds <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he received a phone call fi'om Steve Flack in regards to <br />an issue that he has been working with the City on for three years and stated that he was <br />threatening to sue the City if the issue was not resolved. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he reviewed the documents today and that Community Development <br />Assistant Walther has been working on the issue <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich suggested that Community Development Assistant Walther draft a <br />memo regarding the issue to submit to Council. The problem with the complaints is that the City <br />does not have an ordinance requiting a resident to plant a yard and the weeds are being cut within <br />ordinance requirement. <br /> <br />Council discussed the issues concerning River Pines. <br /> <br />City Council/October 12, 1999 <br /> Page 25 of 28 <br /> <br /> <br />
