• <br />• <br />C ouncilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #01 -03 -167 <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT # 01 -18, MAKEN PROPERTY DEMOLITION <br />WHEREAS, on March 13, 2001, City Council adopted the plans and specifications for the above <br />referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #01 -18, bids were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law on March 26, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received; <br />Bidder <br />Wickenhauser Excavating, Inc. <br />Sauter & Sons, Inc. <br />Landwehr Construction <br />USD Minnesota <br />DC Enterprises <br />Engineers Estimate <br />Amount of Bid <br />$43,200.00 <br />$45,400.00 <br />$53,471.00 <br />$57,500.00 <br />$78,375.00 <br />$85,000.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Wickenhauser Excavating, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Wickenhauser Excavating, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of Improvement <br />Project # 01 -18 in the amount of $43,200.00. <br />2) The City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made <br />with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next 2 lowest bidders shall be <br />retained until a contract has been signed. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Anderson, and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />
