• <br />• <br />Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #01 -05 -197 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPUTERIZED FINGERPRINT IDENTIFICATION <br />SYSTEM; DONATION FROM RAMSEY LIONS <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has purchased and offered to the Ramsey Police <br />Department, a computerized fingerprint identification system for use in its program to assist in <br />the prevention of child abduction; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Police Department is currently engaged in a collaborative effort <br />between Anoka Independent School District #11 and Anoka County Family Council to promote <br />increased attendance at school and the well being of students at Ramsey Elementary School; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council gratefully recognizes and continues to support crime <br />prevention initiatives involving collaborative programs between citizen groups, government and <br />educational agencies, charitable and faith -based organizations. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the fingerprint system being offered by the Ramsey Lions Club be hereby accepted. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hendriksen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councihnember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />and the following voted against: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />None <br />
