• <br />Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #01 -05 -215 <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #01 -17, WATER TOWER NO. 2 CONNECTING MAIN <br />WHEREAS, on April 24, 2001, City Council adopted Resolution #01- 04 -XXX <br />approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #01 -17, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the two lowest quotes that were received: <br />Bidder Base Bid Trail Supplement Bid Total Bid <br />W.B. Miller, Inc. $31,585.00 $24,475.00 $56,060.00 <br />CCS Constructors $42,725.00 $30,250.00 $72,975.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that W.B. Miller, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />• NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with W.B. Miller, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of <br />Improvement Project #01 -17 in the amount of $56,060.00. <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
