• <br />Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # 01 -07 -252 <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR DIVISION A <br />OF THE 2001 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM — BITUMINOUS OVERLAY <br />(IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #01 -01 THROUGH #01 -11) <br />WHEREAS, Resolutions through were adopted by Ramsey <br />City Council on , authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for <br />the above referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution was adopted by Ramsey City Council approving the <br />plans and specifications and the advertisement for bids for the above - referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2001 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on July 17, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received for the 2001 Street Maintenance Program <br />— Division A Crackfill and Sealcoating: <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br />Allied Blacktop $126,525.00 <br />Ted Leyton Non - Responsive* <br />Daffinson Non - Responsive* <br />Astech $161,807.10 <br />* Bid requested on both sealcoating and cracksealing. <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Allied Blacktop, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Allied Blacktop, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 2001 Street <br />Maintenance Program — Division A, in the amount of $126,525.00. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Gamec, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />
