• <br />Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #01 -08 -264 <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING 2001 SCHEDULE OF RATES, FEES AND CHARGES <br />WHEREAS, the current Schedule of Rates and Charges adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council under Resolution #00 -12 -336 on December 12, 2000, amended under Resolution #01- <br />01 -032 on January 23, 2001 establishes a wine on -sale fee of $2,000; and <br />WHEREAS, this fee rate was established at least ten years ago, but in comparison with <br />other cities the highest fee charged was $1,000; and <br />WHEREAS, this fee has never been collected in the City, as no establishment until the <br />current request of a business in 2001, has sold solely wine; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk is asking that this fee be reduced to $1000 to more closely <br />coincide with rates established with neighboring cities. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the 2001 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges is hereby amended to establish that <br />the wine on -sale fee is reduced from $2,000 to $1,000. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />and the following voted against: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />None <br />
