Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #01 -08 -314 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0569 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM CHARLES LIND FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO <br />EXCEED THE MAXIMUM ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SPACE REQUIREMENTS° <br />WHEREAS, Charles Lind, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant," have properly <br />applied for a Conditional Use Permit to exceed the maximum accessory structure space footage <br />restrictions on the property generally known as 14331 Armstrong Boulevard NW and legally <br />described as follows: <br />Lot 2, Block 2, Alpaca Estates 3r Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />( "Subject Property ") <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA THAT THE FINDINGS OF <br />FACT RELATING TO THE REQUEST ARE DETERMINED TO BE AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on August 7, 2001, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />by reference. <br />2. That the Subject Property is approximately 2.5 -acres in size. <br />3. That Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses), Subd. 12 (Size Restrictions and Performance <br />Standards for Accessory Buildings in Residential Districts) allows up to 3 accessory <br />buildings not exceeding a total of 2,064 square feet on the Subject Property. <br />4. That there is a 1,792 square foot attached garage currently existing on the property. <br />5. That the Subject Property is eligible for an additional 272 square feet of accessory structure <br />space. <br />6. That the Applicants are proposing to add a detached garage measuring 3,200 square feet to <br />the Subject Property, which will result in a 2,928 square foot overage in the amount of <br />accessory structure space permitted. <br />7. The accessory building will be for storage of three commercial vehicles and several other <br />personal vehicles and equipment in order to alleviate off - street parking violations. <br />8. A commercial business will not be conducted in the building. <br />• 9. That the proposed exterior building materials will consist of asphalt shingles and vinyl <br />siding. <br />10. That the proposed building will be in compliance with the 22 -foot height restriction. <br />
