• <br />Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #01 -08 -317 <br />RESOLUTION AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN LANDSCAPE <br />SCREENING ALONG T.H. #47 <br />WHEREAS, a number of trees were removed along the east row of T.H. #47 as a part of <br />the highway project during the 2000 construction season; and <br />WHEREAS, these trees had provided a significant screening barrier of the highway to <br />the adjacent residences; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and the adjacent property owners find it mutually beneficial to <br />restore the lost screening with actual landscaping insofar as possible. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follow: <br />1. That the City of Ramsey will cause the installation of plant material at no expense to the <br />property owners. <br />2. That the undersigned property owner will allow the installation of the planting on the <br />• owner's property, if necessary. <br />3. That the undersigned property owner agrees to maintain the planting through watering <br />and agrees to leave in place, the planted material unless permission to remove has been <br />obtained by the City. <br />4. That the City will not replace trees, which do not survive. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
