2) LELS Contract Negotiations <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt <br />Resolution #99-12-227 approving the 2000 - 2001 Labor Agreement with Law Enforcement <br />Labor Services, Inc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmennan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Police Sergeant Promotion <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to authorize the <br />process to promote an eligible candidate to the position of Police Sergeant, effective January 1, <br />2000. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, Connolly, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Unpaid Leave of Absence for Police Department Records Manager <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to approve the <br />request of Police Department Records Manager Arlene Stafford for four weeks of unpaid leave. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, Connolly, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) Hiring Recommendation for a New Patrol Officer <br /> <br />Police Chief Gustafson stated that at the second City Council meeting in November, he was <br />authorized to begin the process of hiring an additional patrol officer. He requested that <br />Christopher McClish be offered the position of Patrol Officer effective December 29, 1999. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to authorize <br />hiri~g Christopher McClish for the position of Patrol Officer at a salary commemorative with the <br />existing labor agreement. <br /> <br />Motion cmTied.
