• • Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #01 -10 -380 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #01 -31, WELL NO. 5 CONNECTION WHEREAS, on October 9` 2001, City Council adopted Resolution #01- 10 -xxx approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #01 -31, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following is a summary the six lowest quotes that were received: Bidder Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. Kober Excavating, Inc. Redstone Construction Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. Park Construction Company W.B Miller, Inc. Engineers Estimate Amount of Bid $138,690.00 $155,094.00 $157,756.26 $158,187.50 $158,379.00 $159,523.10 $154,715.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of Improvement Project #01 -31 in the amount of $138,690.00. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
