2. 2. <br /> CC Work Session <br /> Meeting Date: 03/12/2024 <br /> Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Strive for high organizational morale and employee retention. <br /> Information <br /> Title: <br /> Continue Discussions Regarding Proposed Updates to the Personnel Policy <br /> Purpose/Background: <br /> For the purpose of tonight's meeting, staff will review the last portion of section 5 through section 7 of the City's <br /> Personnel Policy. Staff will focus the discussion on changes where City Council feedback or direction is desired. <br /> However,the majority of the policy is open for discussion. Section 6 of the policy does include regulations <br /> required by statute, and therefore cannot be eliminated. These sections include Family and Medical Leave,Bone <br /> Marrow Donation, Military Leave,Pregnancy and Parenting Leave, School Conference and Activities Leave, and <br /> Jury/Witness Duty. <br /> Sections one,two, three, four and most of section five were discussed previously. Prior to this policy being <br /> brought forward for adoption,the City Attorney will review the entire policy in order to ensure the content is <br /> consistent with federal and state law.
