D. The owner shall install the cores. At the contractor's request, the owner shall install a limited <br /> number of temporary cores during construction with the appropriate cost charged to the <br /> contractor. <br /> E. The contractor must request all owner keys 24 hours in advance of using them. The contractor <br /> will be charged for any keys that are not returned to the owner when the project is completed. <br /> The charge will be equal to the cost of replacing any locks and keys relevant to the key code for <br /> those locks and keys. <br /> 2.21 KEY CABINETS <br /> A. Finish: Corrosion resistant. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 EXAMINATION <br /> A. Prior to installation of hardware, installer shall examine door frame installation to ensure frames <br /> have been set square and plumb. Installer shall examine doors, door frames, and adjacent wall, <br /> floor, and ceiling for conditions, which would adversely affect proper operation and function of <br /> door assemblies. Do not proceed with hardware installation until such deficiencies have been <br /> corrected. <br /> 3.2 INSTALLATION <br /> A. Install all hardware in accordance with the approved hardware schedule and manufacturer's <br /> instructions for installation and adjustment. <br /> B. Set units level, plumb and true to the line and location. Adjust and reinforce the attachment <br /> substrate as necessary for proper installation and operation. <br /> C. Drill and countersink units which are not factory-prepared for anchorage fasteners.
