Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #24-079 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CASH DONATION FOR THE CITY OF RAMSEY'S <br /> 50TH ANNIVERSARY BANNERS <br /> WHEREAS, MN State Statute 465.03 requires that a city pass a resolution that accepts <br /> any donations or grants and <br /> WHEREAS, two-thirds majority of the council members must adopt said resolution to <br /> formally accept donation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has received a cash donation from the Ramsey <br /> Community Foundation, a 501 c3 non-profit corporation in the amount of$2,000; <br /> WHEREAS, the donation will be applied towards the banners associated with the 50th <br /> anniversary activities in 2024. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br /> COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) That the Ramsey Community Foundation,a 501 c3 non-profit corporation's mission includes <br /> that they are a "...organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the quality of life, <br /> creating cultural experiences, and fostering economic development in the City of Ramsey", <br /> and that purpose aligns with the City's goals for the 50th anniversary acknowledgement and <br /> celebration. <br /> 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby accepts the donation made by the Ramsey Community <br /> Foundation in the amount of$2,000. <br /> 3) That the donation shall be applied to the banners associated with the 50th anniversary <br /> programming. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> ,and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br />
