Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #24-079 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CASH DONATION FOR THE CITY OF RAMSEY’S TH 50ANNIVERSARY BANNERS WHEREAS, MN State Statute 465.03 requires that a city pass a resolution that accepts any donations or grants and WHEREAS, two-thirds majority of the council members must adopt said resolution to formally accept donation; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has received a cash donation from the Ramsey Community Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit corporation in the amount of $2,000; th WHEREAS, the donation will be applied towards the banners associated with the 50 anniversary activities in 2024. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey Community Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit corporation’s mission includes that they are a “…organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the quality of life, creating cultural experiences, and fostering economic development in the City of th Ramsey”, and that purpose aligns with the City’s goals for the 50 anniversary acknowledgement and celebration. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby accepts the donation made by the Ramsey Community Foundation in the amount of $2,000. th 3) That the donation shall be applied to the banners associated with the 50 anniversary programming. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Woestehoff, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Kuzma Councilmember Musgrove Councilmember Woestehoff Councilmember Howell Councilmember Olson Councilmember Riley Councilmember Specht
