i <br /> { <br /> I <br /> CITY OF RAM SEY <br /> CONTRACT FOR CURBSIDE <br /> RECYCLING SERVICES <br /> Ada ofc.rrâ–º 2021 between the City of <br /> This agreement is made as of the y y <br /> g <br /> Ramsey, a Minnesota municipal corporation located at 7550 Surlwood Drive, Ramsey, MN 55303 <br /> ("City"), and Ace Solid waste, Inc. a Minnesota corporation located at-6601 McKinley St. N.W., ' <br /> Ramsey, MN 55303 ("Contractor"). <br /> The City and the Contractor agree as follows: <br /> SECTION 1. PURPOSE <br /> The purpose of this agreement is to establish a curbside Recycling Program for the collection of <br /> Recyclable Materials from residents of the City of Ramsey. <br /> SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS <br /> For purposes of this Contract, the following words and terms shall have the definitions given them <br /> by this section. <br /> A. "CITY ADMINISTRATOR" means the then duly appointed and qualified City Administrator of <br /> the City ofRamsey. <br /> B. "CONTAINER" means plastic wheeled carts with lids provided by and maintained by the <br /> Contractor in which Recyclable Materials can be stored and later placed at curbside for collection <br /> as specified by the City. <br /> C. "EXCLUDED WASTE" means any radioactive, volatile, corrosive, highly flammable, explosive, <br /> biomedical, infectious,biohazardous,toxic or hazardous material as defined by applicable federal, <br /> state or local laws or regulations. <br /> D. "RECYCLING PROGRAM" means the collecting of all Recyclable Materials accumulated in <br /> Containers at Residential Properties located within the City and the transporting of the Recyclable <br /> Materials to a site where they can be processed for the marketplace as determined by the <br /> Contractor. <br /> E. "RECYCLABLE MATERIALS" means glass containers having no plastic, metal or other lids, <br /> plastic containers,tubs and lids, metal beverage and food cans, newspapers, corrugated cardboard, <br /> boxboard defined as cereal, cake, and chip boxes, paper cartons defined as juice, milk, soup and <br /> broth cartons, mixed mail, paperback books, magazines and phone books and other materials as <br /> mutually agreed by the City and Contractor. <br /> F. "RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY"means all single family and other residential dwelling units <br /> where a separate driveway and/or garage exist for each unit or group of units within City <br />
