1 Sec. 54-25. Commercial Vehicle and Trailer On -street parking. <br />2 (a) It is unlawful to park any detached semitrailer as defined by Minnesota State Statute upon any <br />3 street, city owned parking lot, or other public property unless specifically approved by City Council <br />4 and Sign Posted. <br />5 (b) It is unlawful to park or store any Commercial Motor Vehicle as designated by Minnesota State <br />6 Statute on any street, city owned public property, or other public property unless specifically <br />7 approved by City Council and sign posted. <br />8 (c) It is unlawful to transfer materials and equipment from one commercial vehicle to another on a <br />9 public roadway. <br />10 (d) It is unlawful to load or unload on a public road or right of way where zoning regulations and <br />11 properties have accommodated for deliveries. <br />12 (e) Exemptions: <br />13 (1) Actively loading or unloading in designated loading zones. <br />14 (2) For the purpose of emergency repairs, property maintenance activity, or construction <br />15 activity of adjacent infrastructure or buildings. <br />16 (3) Postal or mail delivery <br />17 (4) Residential moving vehicles actively loading or unloading and not obstructing normal <br />18 flow of traffic. <br />19 (5) To temporarily visit a business or residence where sufficient space to park within the <br />20 private parking area is limited. <br />21 <br />22 agreement for the conditional sale or lease thereof with the right of purchase upon performance of the <br />23 conditions stated in the agreement and with an immediate right of possession vested in the conditional <br />24 vendee or lessee, or in the event a mortgagor of a vehicle is entitled to possession, then such conditional <br />25 vendee or lessee or mortgagor shall be deemed the owner. The operation or use of a motor vehicle in <br />26 violation of this article shall be prima facie evidence that said motor vehicle was at the time of such violation <br />27 rtr lled rated and , e by the r there f <br />28 <br />29 Sec. 54-28. Prohibited Parking. The following is added: <br />30 (10) On or across any sidewalk, crosswalk, or trail -way. <br />31 <br />32 Sec. 54-30. Display for sale. <br />33 No person shall park a vehicle upon any roadway, boulevard, sidewalk, trail, or Right of Way for the <br />34 principal purpose of displaying such vehicle for sale or parked in such a manner as to be used as advertising <br />35 of a business. <br />36 <br />37 Sec. 54-31. Repairing vehicles on the street. <br />38 No person shall make or allow to be made any washing, greasing, or repairing of a vehicle, on a street, <br />39 except repairs necessitated by an emergency. <br />40 <br />Page 15 of 17 <br />Ordinance #24-03 <br />
