5. COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> 5.01: 2023 Photo Contest Review <br /> Recreation Coordinator Proulx explained how the winning photos are used and presented the <br /> proposed winners for the 2023 Photo Contest in the categories of landscapes of Ramsey, wildlife <br /> of Ramsey,parks and trails, life in Ramsey, and the grand prize winner. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Sis, to affirm the 2023 Photo <br /> Contest winners. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chair Barten; Commissioners Bennett, Sis,Arts,Ealain, Leistico,and <br /> Olson. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> 5.02: Recreation Program Review and Update <br /> Recreation Coordinator Proulx presented a brief recap of the 2023 recreational programming. She <br /> also highlighted some of the programming coming in the next few months. <br /> 6. COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br /> Parks & Assistant Public Works Director Riverblood reported that the skating season began late <br /> and has already been finished because of the warm temperatures. He provided a brief review of <br /> the short season. He noted that the Central Park numbers were higher during that short period <br /> most likely because Ramsey Elementary was not flooded this year. He stated that staff did not <br /> receive any complaints about the Ramsey rink not being open. <br /> 7. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Arts, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chair Barten; Commissioners Bennett, Arts, Ealain, Leistico, Olson, <br /> and Sis. Voting No: None.
