Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #24-121 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BUDGET AND PLAYGROUND <br /> INSTALLATION FOR THE HOLLOW, A PARK IN RIVERSTONE SOUTH <br /> WHEREAS, Ramsey City Council and the Park and Recreation Commission recognizes <br /> the importance of Parks, Trails, Open Space and Recreation to the quality of life for Ramsey <br /> residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, Parks and their playgrounds are essential areas for play and creative and <br /> cognitive expression, as well as the positive physical development of children; and <br /> WHEREAS,the one-acre park known as The Hollow has been dedicated to the community <br /> for the establishment of a playground and other neighborhood park amenities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Park & Recreation Commission has approved a park plan that <br /> corresponds to the Park Dedication funding for The Hollow; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Park & Recreation Commission recommended $370,140 in Park Trust <br /> Funds for the park at their regular April 2024 meeting, and <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> That, up to three hundred and seventy thousand, one hundred and forty dollars ($370,140), are <br /> hereby allocated from the Park Trust Fund, for the purchase and installation of play equipment and <br /> other park amenities, and further to direct staff to implement the associated park improvements as <br /> recommended by the Park and Recreation Commission on April 11 th, 2024. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> none <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> none <br /> and the following were absent: <br />
