7. 3. <br /> CC Regular Session <br /> Meeting Date: 04/23/2024 <br /> Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Not Applicable <br /> Information <br /> Title: <br /> Introduce Ordinance#24-09 Amending Chapter 2 Regarding the Protection of Data on Residents <br /> Purpose/Background: <br /> Councilmembers Howell and Musgrove requested this item be added to the agenda. <br /> This ordinance would regulate certain data from being collected on residents by the City. At times,the City <br /> collects information from its residents to provide a service or to gather feedback on the quality of services the City <br /> is providing. Most commonly,this information is collected either through event sign up or a community survey. <br /> The ordinance would prohibit the City from collecting information related to religion,race, gender or political <br /> affiliation unless required by federal or state laws.
