<br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #24-100 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO NORTHERN LINES <br />CONTRACTING, INC. OF HANOVER, MINNESOTA FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />st <br />#23-01; 161 AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION <br />st <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct 161 Avenue between Armstrong <br />Boulevard and Variolite Street; and <br /> <br />th <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #22-089, adopted April 12, <br />2022, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolten & Menk, Inc., for <br />Topographic Survey of the project area; and <br /> <br />rd <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #22-200, adopted August 23, <br />2022, the City Engineer was ordered to prepare plans and specifications for Improvement Project <br />st <br />#23-01, 161 Avenue Reconstructions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #23-051, adopted March 14, <br />2023, the City Council approved plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and <br />authorized advertisement for bids for same improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, proposals were received for Construction Staking and As-built Survey of <br />$29,770.00 from Bolton Menk, Inc. for same improvement; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #23-081 adopted April 25, 2023 <br />a contract was awarded to Northern Lines Contracting, Inc. of Hanover, Minnesota, in the amount <br />of $1,244,237.29 for said improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, as of April 23, 2024 $1,192,350.92 has been paid to date; and <br />WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to Northern Lines Contracting, Inc. of Hanover, Minnesota for said <br />project in the amount of $47,692.50. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) The City Council hereby approves final payment to Northern Lines Contracting, Inc. of <br />st <br />Hanover, Minnesota for improvement project #23-01 161 Avenue Reconstruction, in the <br />amount of $47,692.50. <br /> <br />2) The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor and City <br />Administrator to sign the release for this payment. <br /> <br />
