<br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #24-121 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BUDGET AND PLAYGROUND INSTALLATION <br />FOR THE HOLLOW, A PARK IN RIVERSTONE SOUTH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey City Council and the Park and Recreation Commission recognizes <br />the importance of Parks, Trails, Open Space and Recreation to the quality of life for Ramsey <br />residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Parks and their playgrounds are essential areas for play and creative and <br />cognitive expression, as well as the positive physical development of children; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the one-acre park known as The Hollow has been dedicated to the community <br />for the establishment of a playground and other neighborhood park amenities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Park & Recreation Commission has approved a park plan that <br />corresponds to the Park Dedication funding for The Hollow; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Park & Recreation Commission recommended $370,140 in Park Trust <br />Funds for the park at their regular April 2024 meeting, and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That, up to three hundred and seventy thousand, one hundred and forty dollars ($370,140), <br />are hereby allocated from the Park Trust Fund, for the purchase and installation of play <br />equipment and other park amenities, and further to direct staff to implement the associated <br />park improvements as recommended by the Park and Recreation Commission on April 11, <br />2024. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Howell, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
