Gov <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br />'Big Ideas' Career Exploration and Hiring Event Scheduled May 2 <br />Anoka County's "Big Ideas" career exploration and hiring event is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., <br />Thursday, May 2, at the National Sports Center in Blaine. The event is free and open to the public. <br />Exhibitors from a wide range of industries, including 1st Select Real Estate Services; ACR <br />Homes; Aggressive Hydraulics, Inc.; AHL Healthcare; Atlas Staffing, Inc.; Chick-fil-A of Coon <br />Rapids and Blaine; Design Ready Controls; FedEx Ground; Fedtech, Inc.; HOYA; Lifespark; <br />Mains'l Services; Metropolitan Mosquito Control District; Minnesota Depailiuent of <br />Transportation; Rainbow Companies; Republic Services; Restoration Technologies, Inc.; Takeda; <br />The John Roberts Company; and Walters Recycling & Refuse will be present at the event to talk <br />with attendees about career paths, opportunities, and summer jobs. <br />Attendees can also explore the "Big Ideas" mobile learning lab training, a fully immersive <br />virtual reality system showcasing in -demand jobs. <br />Event partners include Anoka County Job Training Center, Anoka Technical Center, and <br />Metro North Chamber of Commerce.
