34 subdivisions. 6.00 miles of the street segments are proposed to receive the rejuvenation on the 2-year schedule, <br />having bituminous wear course placed in 2022. Letters will not be mailed out to <br />affected property owners until Council awards the contract for the project, which is proposed to occur in late <br />May, 2024. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />Timeframe: <br />Staff anticipates up to 10 minutes will be required to present this case and answer questions. <br />Observations: <br />Estimates are based off of final plans and an estimated cost per square yard per discussions with the Contractor. <br />Because the improvements are larger than past years, and the estimated costs are above the $175,000 cap for <br />requesting proposals. This project is required to be publicly bid, though since Corrective Asphalt Materials are the <br />soul source provider for Reclamite in our region, we are anticipating only one bid on this project. <br />Alternatives: <br />Alternative #1 — Motion to recommend City Council approval of plans and specifications and authorization to <br />advertise for bids for 2024 Pavement Rejuvenation Improvements, Improvement Project #24-09. <br />Alternative #2 — Motion of other <br />Funding Source: <br />The City budgeted $575,000 for crack seal and pavement rejuvenator improvements in 2024. Municipal State <br />Aid (MSA) street segments may be paid using MSA maintenance funds. Approximately 9-percent of the <br />proposed project area is composed of MSA street segments. In addition, the City budgeted funds are proposed to <br />be used for Improvement Project 424-54, 2024 Pavement Patching Contracted Services, which was authorized to <br />advertise for bids at the April 91 City Council Meeting. <br />City Budgeted Funds $207,686.72 <br />Municipal State Aid Funds $36,570.84 <br />
