Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION#24-120 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> #23-199 COR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-241, adopted October 25, <br /> 2022,the City Council authorized Bolton&Menk,Inc.to complete The COR Public Infrastructure <br /> and Wetland Analysis proposals; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#23-107, adopted May 9,2023, <br /> the City Council approved The COR Public Infrastructure Design Services proposal of Bolton & <br /> Menk, Inc. specifying their scope of services and not-to-exceed fees for design services associated <br /> with public infrastructure improvements in The COR; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to City Council direction provided during their Work Session on <br /> December 12, 2023, Bolton&Menk,Inc. prepared final plans and specifications for Improvement <br /> Project 23-19, COR Infrastructure Improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#24-046, adopted February 13, <br /> 2024, the City Council approved the plans prepared by Bolton and Menk, Inc. and authorized <br /> advertising bids for said improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-086, adopted March 26, <br /> 2024, the City Council accepted eleven bids, awarded a construction contract to Douglas-Kerr <br /> Underground, L.L.C. in the amount of $2,973,047.22, and directed the City Administrator to <br /> accept the Construction Services Proposal of Bolton and Menk, Inc. in the not-to-exceed amount <br /> of$70,684.00 and the Construction Materials Testing Services Proposal of Braun Intertec in the <br /> amount of$54,430, for said improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, during construction of said improvements it was identified that various <br /> modifications were required to municipal utilities to accommodate the Norhart Ramsey private <br /> development west of Zeolite Street; and <br /> WHEREAS, Bolton and Menk, Inc. revised the utilities construction plans and <br /> coordinated with Douglas-Kerr Underground, L.L.C. to prepare Change Order No. 1 that <br /> identifies associated increased construction costs in the amount of$31,052.54. <br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order <br /> No. 1 for Improvement Proj ect 23-19, COR Infrastructure Improvements, for and <br /> on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />
