Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION#24-130 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-55, 2024 PAVEMENT PATCHING CONTRACTED SERVICES WHEREAS, assistance from pavement patching contractors is required in 2024 to skim patch (1-inch minus overlay) the bituminous pavement on approximately 4 miles of public streets in the City of Ramsey awaiting reconstruction improvements; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted a budget for 2024 including $375,000 to temporarily repair bituminous pavement on numerous public street segments in support of the City's Pavement Management Program, with another $200,000 reserved for temporary pavement repair projects in 2024; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-087 adopted April 9, 2024, the City Council approved plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for bids for Maintenance Project#24-55, 2024 Pavement Patching Contracted Services; and WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka County Union Herald on April 12 and April 19, 2024; and WHEREAS, four (4) bids were received, opened and tabulated on May 7, 2024, and the following bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisements for bids; and Contractor Bid GMH Asphalt Corporation $276,560.00 Diversified Paving $324,475.62 Allied Blacktop Company $3 89,080.00 Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. $448,280.00 Engineer's Estimate $2 75,000.00 WHEREAS, the bid of GMH Asphalt Corporation of Chaska, Minnesota, in the amount of $276,560.00 for the total bid for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
