7. 7. <br /> CC Regular Session <br /> Meeting Date: 05/14/2024 <br /> Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Enhance City's communication through transparency and accountability. <br /> Information <br /> Title: <br /> Adopt Ordinance#24-09 Amending Chapter 2 Regarding the Protection of Data on Residents <br /> Purpose/Background: <br /> This ordinance would regulate certain data from being collected on residents by the City. At times,the City collects <br /> information from its residents to provide a service or to gather feedback on the quality of services the City is providing. <br /> Most commonly,this information is collected either through event sign up or a community survey. The ordinance would <br /> prohibit the City from collecting information related to religion,race,gender or political affiliation unless required by federal <br /> or state laws.
