<br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #24-131 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS, AWARDING CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING <br />FUNDING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-54, THE WATERFRONT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey City Council and the Park & Recreation Commission recognizes <br />the importance of Parks, Trails, Open Space and Recreation to the quality of life for Ramsey <br />residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Park & Recreation Commission recommends constructing a trail that <br />would circumnavigate the 7-acre pond at The Waterfront, plant trees and install furnishings at <br />the park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Case #5.06, adopted February 13, 2024, <br />Council approved plans and specifications and authorized advertising bids for improvement <br />Project #24-54; and <br /> <br />st <br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka County Union Herald on March 1, and <br />th <br />8, 2024; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, eleven (11) bids were received for the trail construction, opened and <br />tabulated on May 7th, 2024 and the following bids were found to comply with the approved <br />plans and specifications and advertisements for bids; and <br /> <br />Company Bid <br />Kurilla Contracting $ 169,165.00 <br />Vada Contracting, LLC $ 180,766.60 <br />Landall Services LLC $ 185,537.50 <br />Douglas-Kerr Underground, L.L.C $ 226,890.32 <br />Veit & Company, Inc. $ 227,091.25 <br />Sunram Construction, Inc. $ 243,353.00 <br />JL Theis, Inc. $ 244,181.60 <br />New Look Contracting, Inc. $ 246,443.50 <br />Rachel Contracting, LLC $ 250,338.00 <br />Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $ 308,820.00 <br />Urban Companies $ 320,415.00 <br />Engineer’s Estimate $ 222.613.00 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the bid of Kurilla Contracting of Buffalo, Minnesota, in the amount <br />of $169,165.00 for the total bid for construction of the improvements in accordance with the <br />approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder <br />and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. <br /> <br />
