We're Hiring! <br />Seasonal Maintenance Worker - Temporary -Full -Time <br />Salary: $16.00 Per Hourly <br />Closing Date: Open Until Filled <br />Primary Objective of Position: is to assist City staff <br />with the general upkeep of park grounds, streets, trails, <br />buildings and related facilities and equipment. Job duties <br />include mowing and trimming, pruning and planting <br />trees, landscape projects, maintaining athletic fields, <br />picking up trash and streets and utility maintenance. <br />These are temporary, non -union positions working up <br />to forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday <br />from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. These positions start in May <br />and June and run through the Fall months, depending <br />on availability, workload and rules of Minnesota Public <br />Employment Labor Relations (PELRA). There is no <br />guarantee of further employment after the season has <br />concluded. All candidates must be at least 17 years of age <br />or older by June 15, 2024, and have a valid Minnesota <br />driver's license in good standing. Starting pay is $16.00 per <br />hour. Interviews will be offered shortly after applications <br />are submitted through our employment portal, so apply <br />immediately if you are interested. <br />Streets Maintenance Workers (2 Openings) <br />Salary: $27.18 - $29.90 Hourly <br />Closing Date: June 2, 2024, 11:59 pm <br />The primary objectives of this position: is to provide <br />general maintenance of public streets, right-of-ways, <br />storm sewer systems, parking lots and any other municipal <br />facilities or equipment; as well as snow plowing of public <br />streets, trails and walks. <br />The Streets Maintenance Worker is required to be a <br />member of the on -call team and work a rotating on -call <br />schedule 7-8 weeks per year, following their 6-months <br />of probation. Members of the on -call team must reside <br />within approximately 30 minutes from the Public Works <br />Facility (14199 Jasper Street NW) and be available to <br />respond during evenings, weekends and holidays. The <br />position reports to the Streets Supervisor. <br />The 2024 hiring range is $27.184 to $29.903 per hour, <br />depending on qualifications.
