<br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2024 NE
<br /> RAMSEY STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-03
<br /> WHEREAS,the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Ford Brook Estates
<br /> 3rd, Rodeo Hills Estates, Valley View Acres, and Section 01 Unplatted north of CR 27 subdivisions as
<br /> identified within the 2024—2033 10-Year Capital Improvement Program; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#23-199,adopted August 22,2023,The
<br /> City Council awarded the proposal from Hakanson Anderson to prepare final plans and specifications for
<br /> 2024 NE Ramsey Street Reconstruction, Improvement Project#24-03; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#23-279, adopted November 14, 2023,
<br /> the City Council awarded the proposal from Haugo Geotechnical Services, LLC to preform geotechnical
<br /> proposals for Improvement Project#24-03; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#24-032,adopted January 23,2024,the
<br /> City Council negotiated a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Nowthen for 2024 NE Ramsey Street
<br /> Reconstruction, Improvement Project#24-03; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-109, adopted April 23, 2024, the
<br /> City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by Hakanson Anderson and authorized
<br /> advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS,Hakanson Anderson submitted a proposal to provide construction services including
<br /> construction administration, construction staking, and construction observation of $134,000 for said
<br /> improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald on April 26 and May 3, 2024; and
<br /> WHEREAS,seven(7)bids were publicly opened and tabulated on May 20,2024 and the following
<br /> bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids; and

<br /> WHEREAS, the bid of GMH Asphalt Corporation of Chaska, Minnesota, in the amount of
<br /> $2,441,039.52 for the total bid for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans
<br /> and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and
<br /> hereby is accepted.
