Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #24-140 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2024 <br /> PAVEMENT REJUVENATION IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-09 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey can most cost-effectively maximize the life of the <br /> bituminous pavement on public streets by applying pavement rejuvenators; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted budget for 2024 includes $575,000.00 for street <br /> maintenance contracted services, including to apply pavement rejuvenator on numerous public street <br /> segments in support of the City's Pavement Management Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 924-013, adopted January 9, 2024 the <br /> City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for 2024 Pavement <br /> Rejuvenation, Improvement Project 924-09, and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 924-111, adopted April 23, 2024, the <br /> City Council approved final plans and specifications and authorized advertisement for bids for the same <br /> improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS,bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald on April 26 and May 3, 2024; and <br /> WHEREAS, one (1) bid was publicly opened and tabulated on May 20, 2024 and the following <br /> bid was found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids; and <br /> Contractor Total Bid <br /> Corrective Asphalt Materials, LLC $239,816.16 <br /> WHEREAS, the bid of Corrective Asphalt Materials of South Roxana, Illinois, in the amount of <br /> $239,816.16 for the total bid for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans <br /> and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and <br /> hereby is accepted. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of <br /> the City of Ramsey. <br />
