Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #24-141 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2024 MSA <br /> PAVEMENT MARKING IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-10 <br /> WHEREAS,visible pavement marking is a critical component of driver and pedestrian safety and <br /> are a required maintenance operation per MSA rules and standards; and <br /> WHEREAS, the 2024 —2033 Capital Improvement Program includes an annual MSA Pavement <br /> Marking Improvements project to perform pavement markings on a 5-year cycle, outside of reconstructions <br /> and pavement overlays; and <br /> WHERAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 924-112,adopted April 23,2024,the City <br /> Council approval final plans and specifications and authorized advertisement for bids for the same <br /> improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS,bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald on April 26 and May 3, 2024; and <br /> WHEREAS, one (1) bid was publicly opened and tabulated on May 20, 2024 and the following <br /> bid was found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids; and <br /> Contractor Total Bid <br /> Sir Lines-A-Lot $46,151.95 <br /> WHEREAS, the bid of Sir Lines-A-Lot of Edina, Minnesota, in the amount of$46,151.95 for the <br /> total bid for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications <br /> and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br /> said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Howell, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br />
