Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION#24-144 RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #2 FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #23-19, COR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 422-241, adopted October 25, 2022,the City Council authorized Bolton&Menk, Inc.to complete The COR Public Infrastructure and Wetland Analysis proposals; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-107, adopted May 9,2023, the City Council approved The COR Public Infrastructure Design Services proposal of Bolton & Menk, Inc. specifying their scope of services and not-to-exceed fees for design services associated with public infrastructure improvements in The COR; and WHEREAS, pursuant to City Council direction provided during their Work Session on December 12, 2023, Bolton&Menk, Inc.prepared final plans and specifications for Improvement Project 23-19, COR Infrastructure Improvements; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-046, adopted February 13, 2024, the City Council approved the plans prepared by Bolton and Menk, Inc. and authorized advertising bids for said improvements; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-086, adopted March 26, 2024, the City Council accepted eleven bids, awarded a construction contract to Douglas-Kerr Underground, L.L.C. in the amount of $2,973,047.22, and directed the City Administrator to accept the Construction Services Proposal of Bolton and Menk, Inc. in the not-to-exceed amount of$70,684.00 and the Construction Materials Testing Services Proposal of Braun Intertec in the amount of$54,430, for said improvements; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-120, adopted May 14, 2024, Change Order No. 1 was approved to increase construction costs in the amount of $31,052.54 to accommodate the Norhart Ramsey private development west of Zeolite Street; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reviewed and recommends approval of Change Order No. 2 that will reduce project costs by the amount of$37,500.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) The City Engineer/Public Works Director is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order No. 2 for Improvement Project 23-19, COR Infrastructure Improvements, for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey.
