Special Olympics Torch Run
This year, the Special Olympics Torch Run will be held on
Friday, June 21, at 9:00 am. It will start in front of Ramsey
City Hall on Sunwood Drive NW. The Ramsey Police
Department will bring the torch to the Anoka Ice Arena/
Castle Field in Anoka. Once there, it will be passed to other
agencies as they take it through their respective cities.
Although Ramsey's leg of the run is 4.6 miles,
is invited to participate. You may run as long or short as
. Id like. If biking, rollerblading, boarding or any
other method of transport is more your thing, feel free to
tag along! You do not have to jog/run to participate. There
will also be many support vehicles traveling with us, so
participants can take a break and ride with them if needed.
As the Special Olympics Torch Run makes its way through
our community, it's heartening to see the support it receives.
cLgc Le to be part of this.
Have questions about the City of Ramsey?
Follow the Frequently Asked Questions Facebook series.
Each week, there is a new question and answer.
