2. 1. <br />CC Special Work Session <br />Meeting Date: <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: <br />06/20/2024 <br />Not Applicable <br />Title: <br />City Environmental Policy Board Interviews <br />Purpose/Background: <br />In March, the annual board and commissions recruitment process was conducted to include seats on the Economic <br />Development Authority (EDA), the Environmental Policy Board (EPB), the Park and Recreation Commission and <br />the Planning Commission. <br />The Environmental Policy Board received two recent resignations. The first vacancy arose as a member stepped <br />down in the third year of her term, necessitated by a move out of the city. Shortly thereafter, another member, <br />freshly reappointed to a new four-year term, also submitted his resignation for the same reason. <br />As per the attached policy, the Environmental Policy Board openings were advertised through various channels to <br />ensure residents are well-informed and encouraged to participate in local governance, including announcements in <br />the Ramsey Resident, the community sign, social media platforms like Facebook, the city's official website, and <br />local television on QCTV.
