<br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2024
<br />NEIGHBORHOOD PAVEMENT OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT
<br />PROJECT #24-07
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to overlay the pavement on numerous public
<br />street segments in 2024 as identified within the 2024 – 2033 Capital Improvement Program; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-281, adopted November 14, 2023,
<br />the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolton & Menk, Inc., for topographic survey of the
<br />pedestrian ramps within the project area; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-299, adopted on November 14, 2023,
<br />the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for 2024 Neighborhood Pavement
<br />Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #24-07; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-110, adopted on April 23, 2024, the
<br />City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized
<br />advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald on Friday April 26 and May 3, 2024;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, three (3) bids were received, opened and tabulated on June 4, 2024, and the following
<br />bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids; and
<br />

<br /> WHEREAS, North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, who submitted a total bid in the amount of
<br />$1,562,549.03 for construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications
<br />and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted.
