Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION#24-180 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #22-17, RAMSEY VILLAS NORTH SOUND WALL <br /> IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to construct sound wall improvements along the west <br /> boundary of the Ramsey Villas North plat to address concerns raised by local property owners due to <br /> excessive noise generated by vehicle traffic on Highway 47; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-150, adopted May 28, 2024, the <br /> Mayor and City Administrator were authorized and directed to execute Minnesota Department of <br /> Transportation(MnDOT) Cooperative Construction Agreement No. 1056358 for and on behalf of the City <br /> of Ramsey, to permit the City to construct and maintain City Improvement Project #22-17 on MnDOT <br /> right-of-way in accordance with the terms of the agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-150, adopted May 28, 2024, the <br /> City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized <br /> advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS,bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald on May 31 and June 7, 2024; and <br /> WHEREAS,three(3)bids were received,opened and tabulated on July 1,2024,and the following <br /> bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids; and <br /> Contractor Total Bid <br /> Reshetar Systems, Inc. $581001.28 <br /> Parkstone Contracting, LLC $921702.00 <br /> Urban Companies, LLC $1661350.00 <br /> Engineer's Estimate $76.800.00 <br /> WHEREAS, the bid of Reshetar Systems, Inc. in the amount of$58,001.28 for the total bid and <br /> construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and <br /> advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br /> said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and <br /> upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />
