<br />Councilmember Woestehoff introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:

<br />RESOLUTION #24-183
<br />
<br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION
<br />ON AUGUST 13, 2024
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Primary Election on Tuesday,
<br />August 13, 2024; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for
<br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $12.50 for student judges, $12.50 for regular
<br />election judges and $14.50 for head judges; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, when necessary, regular City staff working as judges on election day will be
<br />paid their normal hourly wage.
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
<br />
<br />1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Primary
<br />Election to be held on August 13, 2024:

<br />Linda Anderson, Bruce Anderson, Beth Asfahl, Mark Barrett, Jerilyn Bates, Nancy
<br />Bendtsen, Billie Jo Bishop, PaulaJean Chicoine, Roger Clem, Sandra Conlon, Sarah
<br />Cooper, Sabrina Cooper, Katherine Dague, Beverly Dehn, Tim Dusbabek, Patricia
<br />Dusbabek, Kevin Efram, Todd Embury, Marivic Engquist, Susan Fox, John Freeburg,
<br />Colleen Graber, Tim Graber, Deb Hanson, Brian Heichel, Brian Heigl, Andy Hillebregt,
<br />Del Howe III, Peggy Howe, Mary Ann Kellner, Louise Kvick, James Lahr, Jennifer
<br />Leistico, Sheila Lemke, Cyndi Lemmon, Cheryl Lemm, Justin Loss, Jean Max, David
<br />May, Jennifer McWilliams, Kelly Moore, Nancy Nelson, Cindy Olson, Judith Olson,
<br />Michelle Olson, Diana Pennington, Kathryn Piela, Becky Potts, Alicia Reynolds-Minear,

<br />2) That Council authorize staff to train and hire additional election judges not named here
<br />should the need arise.

<br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
<br />Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
